How the amount of Insurance is determined?

  • The amount of Insurance is dependent on Insurance Value of the Vehicle (IDV). IDV is the total value of the insured vehicle which the policyholder will receive in the event of irreparable damage or loss of the vehicle. IDV is dependent on the type of vehicle and is adjusted for depreciation.
